China's First Long-Distance Pure-Hydrogen Pipeline Takes Delivery of Its Booster Compressors: 190 km at 6.3 MPa
Two skid-mounted units, three stages, oil-free, 9,000 Nm³/h each — for a pipeline the company describes as the country's longest.
Lead
Two large skid-mounted hydrogen pipeline compressors, designed and built by 安瑞科(蚌埠)压缩机有限公司 under 中集安瑞科控股有限公司 (CIMC Enric, 3899.HK), completed factory acceptance and were dispatched to the Inner Mongolia Huadian long-distance pure-hydrogen pipeline project.
The project is a 190 km pipeline with a design pressure of 6.3 MPa (914 psi) and a total investment of RMB 1.112 billion. (Source: 中集安瑞科 release, reported 3 June 2026.)
Facts
The equipment. Two skid-mounted hydrogen pipeline compressors. Three-stage oil-free compression. Company-developed heavy-duty base components. Online monitoring. Rated discharge flow is 9,000 Nm³/h per unit. (Source: 中集安瑞科 release, reported 3 June 2026.)
The pipeline. 190 km, design pressure 6.3 MPa, total investment RMB 1.112 billion. Near-term hydrogen transport capacity of 100,000 t/y, rising to 240,000 t/y in a later phase. The company's release describes it as the largest and longest pure-hydrogen pipeline in China and as part of the national "west hydrogen to the east" industrial layout. (Source: 中集安瑞科 release, reported 3 June 2026.)
The supplier's own accounts. The interim report for the six months to 30 June 2026 records the delivery of two large skid-mounted hydrogen pipeline compressors, new hydrogen-business orders of RMB 470 million and a backlog of RMB 330 million, and a 17.0% year-on-year rise in shipments of 30 MPa hydrogen tube trailers. It does not name the pipeline project. (Source: 中集安瑞科 2026 interim results, 26 August 2026.)
Basis for the pipeline. The company release states that the project draws on wind and solar resources in western Inner Mongolia, and that once built it can supply 7,800 t of hydrogen a year from existing production facilities, with a further 50,000 t/y of production capacity planned alongside it. What the source does not state
The release does not state the suction pressure of the compressors, the compression ratio per stage, the driver type or rating, the station count along the pipeline, or the commissioning date. It does not state who built the pipeline's other equipment. The interim report does not identify the pipeline the two machines were delivered to, which is the link made here between two company documents.
