Three Large Diaphragm Compressors Delivered from China for an Australian Green-Ammonia Project
Himile completed and shipped three large diaphragm compressors for a green nitrogen-fertiliser project in Australia, after designing to five standard systems at once.
Himile Mechanical Science and Technology (Shandong) has completed delivery and shipment of three large diaphragm compressors for a green nitrogen-fertiliser project in Australia, the China General Machinery Industry Association reports. The association describes the shipment as another engineering reference for a Chinese-built diaphragm machine in a developed market, following the supplier's earlier certification to the AS standard system (1).
The duty the machines sit in
The same association notice states plainly what the machine class is for: the diaphragm compressor is the core pressure-boosting equipment in distributed green hydrogen, green ammonia and green methanol production (1). That places the three units on the feed side of a green ammonia plant rather than on the electrolysis side.
What the supplier had to do
The Australian site imposed local equipment-admission requirements, and the supplier states it completed a merged design across five standard systems — AS3000, IEC, ASME, AS1210 and the Australian steel structures code — and passed inspection by an international third-party body on the first submission (1).
The same notice states that the supplier holds in-house capability from research and design through core-component machining to unit assembly, and that the shipment is read by the association as evidence of the supplier's standard-alignment, quality-control and cross-border project execution (1).
What the source does not state
The notice does not give the compressor model designation, discharge pressure, volumetric flow, motor rating or unit count beyond "three large units". It does not name the Australian project owner, the plant's capacity, the delivery schedule or the contract value. The receiving port, the shipment date and the identity of the third-party inspection body are not stated. The notice does not state whether the three units are for a single train or for separate duties. It also does not state the diaphragm, head or wetted-material selection.
Note on sourcing
We record only the verifiable layer of the association notice. We do not rank suppliers, we do not recommend one, and we do not repeat performance claims from company material.
